About This Experience

Ikigai is a greatly misunderstood concept that millions of people believe is a Venn diagram framework of doing something you love, that you are good at, that the world needs, and that you can be paid for. This is not Ikigai. This is a western misinterpretation. To the Japanese, Ikigai goes beyond one’s work and involves the things in life that make life feel worth living.

Using this technique can help people relate their passions with their occupations and generate a happier and far more productive workforce. Although designed for individual wellbeing, Ikigai can also be applied by managers and leaders to help inspire teams and enhance company culture.

  • Be more present in their day to to day activities.
  • Find more life satisfaction in the small joys of life.
  • Have a sense of purpose.
  • Become more creative.
  • Feel more strongly aligned to their values.
